Afroz Qadeer is the CEO of Kettle Hill Capital Management, LLC. Prior to Kettle Hill, Mr. Qadeer founded Teak Investment Management (“TIM”), providing institutions and asset managers with strategic advice on investment program and product design/development issues. In April 2013, Mr. Qadeer co-founded Equinox Institutional Asset Management, LP, serving as its President and Chief Investment Officer until his departure in October 2014. Equinox Institutional Asset Management was the rebranding of Tapestry Asset Management, LP, which was founded by Mr. Qadeer in 2002 and subsequently acquired by Equinox Financial Group in January 2013. At Tapestry, Mr. Qadeer served as Chief Executive Officer and co-Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Qadeer has also held tenures in hedge fund research and portfolio management roles with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Optima Fund Management, and Lake Partners. During his career, Mr. Qadeer has participated in the development, launch and management of various alternative and traditional long only products including private multi-manager vehicles as well as SEC regulated 40 Act liquid alternative structures. He has worked closely with institutions on the strategic development of their investment programs including policy development, asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk budgeting parameters. Mr. Qadeer holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College, University of Bombay, India.
